🌸 Women’s Group Spring Luncheon Announcement 🌱

Hello friends! Spring has truly sprung here in the Valley. This year, our wonderful Women’s Group is hosting their annual Spring Luncheon on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 11AM ’til 2PM.

Our Women’s Group is inviting other women from Dayton’s Church of the Brethren to attend, socialize, eat, and have a wonderful time together. We hope to build connection with our wider community. The invitations have gone out, and estimates of how many visitors we will have are forthcoming. How exciting!

Our organizer, Sandy Norton, asks that those willing to participate and contribute to the luncheon, to please sign up next time you come to meeting! There are sign-up sheets provided.

Sandy can be contacted for more information at the following email address if you have questions: alexrainsma@yahoo.com

Have a wonderful spring!

Holidays Announcements!

Hello Friends! today we have a double feature announcement of some upcoming holiday 2025 programming at VFM and beyond:

Valley Friends Meeting Annual Candlelight Service

Sunday, December 21, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

Join us in observance of Winter Solstice and the celebration of Christmas!

The darkness will descend and then decrease as we each place a lit candle on the center table.

We’ll conclude with music followed by refreshments. If you can, bring an unscented candle (and holder if needed) and finger food refreshments to share. Candles also provided if you can’t bring any. Hot drinks will be provided. Please enjoy!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Additionally, we wanted to share that The Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir will present Starlight & Firelight on Saturday, December 13 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 14 at 4:00 p.m. in EMU’s Lehman Auditorium.

Enjoy the angelic voices of children and youth, ages 7–18, joined by 12 guest instrumentalists in a festive program of seasonal favorites presented within an historical and culturally-rich context.
